The Thought Experiment

two movies of 2007-08 will always remain intertwined in my mind and those are Dark Knight and No Country for Old Men.
The Joker and Anton Chigurh are still in my mind like dueling sides of same coin that saved that poor worthless gas station attendant’s life.
Both have principles. Neither are the man is without a personal system of ethics. That is what makes them so intriguing.
I would never dream of justifying their actions in either story but it is intriguing to compare their actions to the reactionary and almost knee-jerk actions of the protagonists.
that’s why they stick in my mind. i don’t know how we confront a force like that.
